Brandsrud to be named interim principal at WHS for 2020-21 school year

WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown School District has announced that Brad Brandsrud has been named the Interim High School Principal at Watertown High School for the 2020-21 school year, replacing Dr. Michael Butts who has moved to Lake Area Tech as the Dean of Academics.

Brandsrud has been an Assistant Principal at Watertown High School for the past 25 years. He’s an Estelline native and graduate of Augustana.

Patty McClemans has been named assistant principal to fill Brandsrud’s role.

The changes will be finalized at the May 11th School Board meeting.
