AUDIO: Jacks offense returns a wealth of talent

BROOKINGS, S.D. ( – South Dakota State football was picked second overall in the Missouri Valley Football Conference preseason coaches poll and will be returning a wealth of talent on the offensive side of the ball.

Running back Isaiah Davis, wide receiver Jaxon Janke and tight end Tucker Kraft were among 35 players named to the preseason watch list for the 2022 Walter Payton Award.

Jackrabbits Coach John Stiegelmeier says this is the most talent they have ever had:

Sophomore Mark Gronowski will take back the helm of quarterback after redshirting last season due to injury. Gronowski was named QB one in 2020, starting as a true freshman, playing all 10 games before being hurt in the FCS National Championship game. Coach Stig says he’s ready to go:
