Arrest made in connection with Wahpeton shooting

WAHPETON, N.D.–Wahpeton Police say a 34-year-old man was shot Saturday.
Officers received a 911 call for a gunshot victim in Wahpeton at around 4:35 pm Saturday. When officers responded, they found the 34-year-old man outside laying on the ground with a chest wound. The male was transported to St. Francis Medical Campus in Breckenridge, and later life-flighted to Fargo.
The male victim indicated he was shot by a family member at the residence. Wahpeton Police issued a shelter in place. They determined someone was still inside the apartment building and
attempted to make contact.
Police entered the apartment where they arrested 37-year-old Shawn Lane for attempted murder and discharge of a firearm within city limits.
