Accidents in Dallas, Draper leave two people dead

DRAPER, S.D. – A 51 year-old man died early Friday morning in a one-vehicle crash in Draper, South Dakota.

He was in a vehicle that went off a road and struck a grain bin loaded with corn.

Both the vehicle and corn caught fire.

The man died at the scene. His name has not been released.

Meanwhile, one person died Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Dallas, South Dakota. The Highway Patrol says a Jeep Cherokee was southbound on a street in Dallas when it rear-ended a Gator UTV. The 63-year-old male driver of the UTV, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The 54-year-old male driver of the Jeep was not injured, but he is facing charges.

Names of those involved have not been released.
