Winter Storm Watch posted for southeast South Dakota  (Audio)

ABERDEEN, S.D.–A Winter Storm Watch has been posted for southeast South Dakota from tonight through Friday morning.

Forecasters are talking about the potential of five to seven inches of snow in places like Yankton, Sioux Falls and Mitchell, with lesser amounts as you go north.

After this storm moves out, it’ll be cold. In fact, record cold overnight lows are possible this weekend…

While it offers no guarantees that the weather will get better, spring does officially begin on Monday.
