2021 was warmer, wetter than normal year in Watertown  (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Weather statistics for Watertown show it was a slightly warmer than average, and wetter than average year last year.

National Weather Service forecaster Steve Fleegel…..

After sinking into moderate drought conditions in June, the summer got wet, and Fleegel says by the end of the year, Watertown saw above normal precipitation…

Even though it was warmer than normal last year, Fleegel says Watertown did not see a triple-digit temperature all year….

The coldest temperature in Watertown last year was 27 below zero, on February 14th.
