$12.5 million remodeling project at Watertown High School gets the green light (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.—A $12.5 million dollar remodeling of Watertown High School will begin next month.

On Monday night, the Watertown School Board approved and awarded bids for the project.

Superintendent Dr. Jeff Danielsen….

They’ve hired a general contractor for the work….

Danielsen says they won’t waste any time getting started….

That new front entrance that’s built will have enhanced security features…

With the world in the midst of a pandemic, some may wonder why the school district would choose now as the appropriate time to spend this kind of money….

The project completion date is August 1st, 2022.
