Winners of $67 million lottery jackpot in Minnesota claim their prize

April 28, 2022

ROSEVILLE, Minn (KFGO) – The winners of a Mega Millions jackpot ticket sold at a suburban St. Paul convenience store have stepped forward.

The couple took the cash option of nearly $67 million. They’ve decided to remain anonymous, which is allowed under a new state law.

The couple told lottery administrators that they purchased scratch-off tickets and a pizza in April 1990 on the first day that scratch tickets were sold in Minnesota. It was also their first date. Ms. Lottery Winner says she’s been playing the same numbers for many years and discovered that she won while checking her phone the night of the April 12 draw.

Their immediate plans include buying a house, a car and traveling. The ticket was sold at the Holiday Stationstore in Ramsey. The store earned a $50,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
