WHS grad Spencer Waege joins San Francisco 49’ers practice squad

UNDATED–South Shore native and Watertown High School graduate Spencer Waege is back in the National Football League (NFL).
On Tuesday, he was signed to the practice squad of the San Francisco 49’ers, the team that signed him as an undrafted free agent in April.
Waege played in all of San Francisco’s pre-season games, but was waived when the team got down to the NFL’s 53-player roster limit.
Waege played college ball at NDSU, where he was a three year starter and two time all-conference selection as a defensive lineman.
