ABERDEEN, S.D.–Spring has been slow to arrive in the upper Midwest this year, with April temperatures consistently running cooler than average, and areas of the western Dakotas getting pounded by multiple blizzards.

KWAT News Director Mike Tanner checked in with the State Climatologist for South Dakota, Laura Edwards (pictured), for a look at just how cool its been, how it’s impacting the timeliness of spring planting, and when we might see a pattern change.
