WATERTOWN, S.D.–Rock solid. That’s how Thief River Falls, Minnesota Airport Manager Joe Hedrick describes the performance of Denver Air Connection (DAC) in his city.

Denver Air Connection is the airline that’s been chosen by the U.S. Department of Transportation to take over air service to Watertown.

KWAT News spoke with Hedrick today about DAC’s performance in Thief River Falls….

Hedrick says customer satisfaction with DAC has been very high…

Watertown has asked the U.S. DOT to reconsider their decision, and allow the city to continue to be served by SkyWest Airlines, doing business as United Express.

Hedrick has this advice for Watertown officials who are leery about DAC….

If the U.S. DOT decision stands, DAC will begin service in Watertown on June 1st, with flights to Chicago and Denver.
