Watertown will run school buses this fall, but not with social distancing on board  (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–School administrators all across the country are spending long days trying to figure out what their school year will look like when it rolls out in the next month or so.

The COVID-19 pandemic as some wondering if it’s safe to return to “in class” learning yet, or whether it’s best to have students continue to learn from home via computer as they did in the spring.

Watertown Superintendent Dr. Jeff Danielsen…

 

Danielsen says the uncertainty over what the school year looks like won’t be going away this fall. It’ll have to be monitored for a long time…….

Social distancing will be encouraged in any classroom setting, but an issue is how to social distance before the kids even get to school.

We’re talking about that morning ride on a school bus filled with kids….

Watertown’s school year begins August 27th.
