WATERTOWN, S.D.—The Watertown Salvation Army set a goal of raising $80,000 through their Red Kettle campaign this season.

Lieutenant Zach Zumwalt says they’re slowing getting there, and went over the halfway point last weekend….

Zumwalt says the bad news is they’re running out of time to reach their goal. The bell ringing at the red kettles ends on Christmas Eve.

But the good news is that donations to the kettles “peak” in the final days leading up to Christmas….

The red kettles are stationed at seven locations in Watertown—Wal Mart, Hobby Lobby, Trav’s Outfitter, HyVee, Runnings, County Fair Foods and Walgreens.
