Watertown residents asked to participate in community health survey

March 28, 2024

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Prairie Lakes Healthcare System (PLHS) and Human Service Agency (HSA) have partnered to conduct a community health survey open to all residents in Watertown and the surrounding communities.

“By participating in the survey, the public can contribute to the development of targeted and effective strategies, ensuring that services available align with the real needs of our community’s residents,” said Kelli Rumpza, Community Prevention Specialist at HSA.

The survey is designed to gather valuable insights into the health needs and concerns of the many populations within the Watertown and surrounding communities. It is part of an assessment required to be conducted every three years to identify these needs and concerns.

“Everyone’s perspective matters, and together, we can continue to build a healthier and more resilient community,” said Lydia Newman, Director of Marketing at PLHS.

The survey will remain open until May 8, 2024. Survey responses are confidential, and the information gathered will only be used for the purpose of improving community health services.
