RAPID CITY, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) – Watertown Post 17 would be swept in a four-game weekend series at Rapid City Post 22.

Game one Saturday was an 8-3 loss for the purple and gold. Marcus Rabine would have a three-hit, one RBI afternoon. Watertown would collect nine hits in the game but couldn’t overcome three-run fifth and sixth innings by the Hardhats.

Rapid Post 22 put an 11 spot on the board in the fourth inning en route to a 15-2 win in game two. The game was called in the fifth inning due to the ten-run rule.

Watertown Post 17 was blanked in game one of Sunday 8-0. The purple and gold would only put down two hits compared to the Hardhats nine.

A nine-run second inning was too much for Post 17 to overcome in the final game of Sunday as Rapid 22 would come out victorious 13-1 in a ten-run rule game.

Watertown (3-7) will come back home to face West Fargo on Thursday.
