WATERTOWN, S.D.–If you’re a gun owner, you know that securing ammunition for your weapons has been challenging at times.

That’s what Watertown Police Chief Tim Toomey was talking to the city council about Monday night–ammunition, and securing it for his department.

It involves what’s known as the 10-33 program.

Specifically, Toomey asked the council for permission to pay for equipment purchases through that program before they actually receive the product….

The council approved the chief’s request, with a spending limit on product not to exceed $10,000.
