Watertown PD: Bicyclist injured in collision with vehicle

WATERTOWN, S.D.–A bicyclist was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Watertown Thursday.
Police say it happened just after 5 p.m. in the 300-block of 11th Street Southeast.
A GMC Yukon driven by a 61 year-old Watertown woman was northbound on 11th Street when a 13 year-old riding the bike into the intersection was struck.
The juvenile was thrown off the bike, sustained non life-threatening injuries and was taken to Prairie Lakes Hospital.
The intersection where the accident occurred includes a stop sign for east-west traffic, and the bicyclist failed to stop for the vehicle.
