Watertown mayor stresses positives in State of the City Address (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown Mayor Sarah Caron delivered her annual State of the City Address at Monday night’s city council meeting.

She says the pandemic made for a challenging 2020, but despite that, business was booming in Watertown.

Caron  says there were numerous construction projects that were either finished, or got started, including a mixed-use development at Stony Point…

She says tax collections were up 2.12 percent last year, compared to 2019….

Building permits took a big jump last year…

Caron says Watertown has many strengths…

But there are also weaknesses and challenges…
