Watertown man killed in Oklahoma

OVERBROOK, O.K. (KXII) — A Watertown man was killed Wednesday morning in Oklahoma.

KXII reports just before 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Billy Arnold, 52 of Watertown, South Dakota was a passenger in a minivan when it veered out of the southbound lanes, struck a guardrail, re-entered the roadway and stopped sideways across Interstate 35 near Overbrook, Oklahoma.

Oklahoma Troupers say Arnold was standing in the roadway inspecting the damage when the minivan was struck by a semi, pushing the minivan into Arnold.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the minivan, Laura Arnold, 60 of Watertown, South Dakota was treated and released at an Oklahoma hospital.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

Oklahoma Troupers say the crash remains under investigation.
