Watertown man arrested for attempting to solicit sex

WATERTOWN, S.D.–A Watertown man was arrested Thursday for allegedly trying to solicit sex from a teenager.
The Codington County Sheriff’s Office received a call Thursday morning from a person saying they were receiving sexual messages from an unknown number trying to solicit sex from a 13 year-old.
An investigation led to a search warrant being executed in the 900-block of 40th Street Southwest. That’s where officers arrested 31 year-old Brandon Shepherd.
He was booked into the Codington County Detention Center on $10,000 cash bond, but has since bonded out of custody.
The charge he faces is a Class 4 Felony.
