WATERTOWN, S.D.—Watertown High School has gotten creative in how to come up with a virtual graduation ceremony for its Class of 2020.
The COVID-19 pandemic is preventing the usual program at the Civic Arena.
Superintendent Jeff Danielsen (pictured) says this week, students have been coming in to get videotaped receiving their diploma…
He explains how they settled on this format….
Danielsen says the school district is reserving Sunday July 26th as a day for an in-person celebration for graduates. That would be held only if conditions allow. The location has not been determined…
Danielsen says each graduate is booked for a 15 minute time slot this week to come in and have their video shot….
The video of the graduation ceremony will be broadcast at 2 p.m. Sunday May 24th on our website gowatertown.net
