Watertown Fire Rescue called to apartment fire

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown Fire Rescue was dispatched to an apartment building fire Sunday morning.

The fire call to 200 South Maple came in at 7:45 a.m.

Crews found smoke and a small fire in the kitchen area of one of the apartments.

The fire was quickly extinguished and smoke was cleared from the apartment and adjacent hallways using fans.

There were no injuries.

Fire crews were on the scene for about an hour.
