Watertown falls twice at Yankton

YANKTON, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) – Watertown Post 17 would fall twice to Yankton Tuesday.
Post 12 would blank Watertown 9-0 in game one of the afternoon. Ryan Roby collected Post 17’s only hit of the game. Chase Christianson pitched five and a third innings allowing four hits, two runs, and walking two.
Watertown would send two runs past the plate in game two but fall to Yankton 11-2. Jerod Cyrus led Watertown with a two-hit, one RBI afternoon. Carson Mutschler also had two hits. Drew Denzer, Braedon Zaug, Bryce Hult, and Will Engstrom each had one hit. Jack Heesch pitched four innings allowing six runs, six hits, walking three while striking out one.
Watertown Post 17 (9-12) comes back home to face Sioux Falls East today. Coach Ryan Neale previews the game:

Watertown Junior Legion got two wins at home against Yankton on Wednesday, 5-4 and 7-1. Junior Legion (14-5) travels to Sioux Falls East tonight for a 5 and 7 p.m. first pitch.
