Watertown city limits expanding east following annexation approval

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown’s city limits will expand further east following action by the city council Monday night.
They approved the annexation of 52 1/2 acres of land in what’s known as the Lakes of Willow Creek Second Addition.
They also approved the platting of that land. It’ll include a mix of single-family housing and apartments, and just over three acres have been designated for a new neighborhood park.
The annexation and platting were approved unanimously.
