Watertown City Council discusses changes to snowplowing ordinance (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–It was just the first reading of an ordinance change in Watertown regarding the snow removal process, but it generated plenty of discussion at Monday night’s city council meeting.
The ordinance change would remove languge related to streets and avenues being plowed on specific days of the week, and it would allow vehicles to park on boulevards during a snow emergency.

Nothing becomes final until, and unless, a second reading of the ordinance change is approved. That could happen at a council meeting next month.
