WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Boys and Girls Club of Watertown will hold a ribbon cutting and open house today on their Diversion and Behaviorial Health Program.

The club’s Louis Canfield says this program is designed to rehabilitate juvenile offenders, and keep them out of jail, and out of the court system…

Canfield says the diversion program is optional–not mandatory–for juvenile offenders.

But if they choose not to participate in it, they will likely find themselves going through the court system in Codington County.

Today’s ribbon cutting and open house begin at 11:30 at the club adjacent to Watertown High School.
