MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.–University of Minnesota police issued a warning Thursday morning that a man threatened to shoot people on its Twin Cities campus.

The threats originated on social media by 41 year-old Joseph Rongstad.

Students are still on break, so there are very few on campus. University employees were urged to work from home.

Rongstad was located at his home in Watson, Minnesota, just northwest of Montevideo, where a SWAT team and other law enforcement officials took him into custody.
