LAKE NORDEN, S.D.–A devastating blow for the town of Lake Norden on Wednesday.
An early morning fire destroyed the municipal building that housed Lake Norden’s police and fire departments, and their ambulance service.
Everything burned up. The building is a total loss.
Jason Aho is Lake Norden’s mayor. He tells KWAT News the support they’ve received from neighboring towns has been tremendous…
Aho says if you were to drive by the building today, you’d see there’s really nothing left of it, or its contents…
Now it’s time to look ahead….
Aho says the monetary loss when you factor in the building, the fire trucks and ambulances, will be in the millions of dollars.
