UPDATE: DPS releases name of man killed in head-on crash north of Pierre

PIERRE, S.D.–The South Dakota Department of Public Safety (DPS) has identified the man killed in a head on collision in Hughes County Friday.
Nineteen year-old Hayden Schmautz of Fort Pierre was the driver of a jeep that collided head on with a pickup on Highway 1804, 11 miles north of Pierre. Schmautz was killed.
The driver of the pickup, 27 year-old Adan Garcia of Raton, New Mexico, was sustained serious, non life-threatening injuries.
