Two vehicle crash in Watertown sends one driver to Prairie Lakes with minor injuries

WATERTOWN, S.D.–One person sustained minor injuries Thursday in a two vehicle crash in Watertown.
It happened at 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 212 and 21st Street Southwest.
A Jeep Compass driven by Carli Ordal of Watertown collided with a Jeep Liberty driven by Amber Peterson-Ertelt of Watertown.
Peterson-Ertelt’s vehicle was proceeding from a stop sign on 21st Street when it collided with Ordal’s vehicle that was westbound on Highway 212.
The Compass sustained $6,000 damage, and the Liberty sustained $3,000 damage. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Peterson-Ertelt was evaluated at the scene by medical personnel with Watertown Fire Rescue and transported to Prairie Lakes Hospital with minor injuries.
Ordal was not injured.
