South Dakota U.S. Senator and Minority Whip John Thune has chosen the candidate he’s supporting in the Republican primary.

Fox News reported that Thune spoke with former President Trump over the phone after his decisive victory in the South Carolina primary and gave him his endorsement.

Thune told Fox News, ““I support former President Trump’s campaign to win the presidency, and I intend to do everything I can to see that he has a Republican majority in the Senate working with him to restore American strength at home and abroad.”

Trump’s last remaining challenger in the primary, Nikki Haley, set her sights on Michigan after Trump defeated her by 20 points in Saturday’s Republican Primary in Haley’s home state of South Carolina.
