Summit Carbon Solutions hitting the reset button on CO2 pipeline project (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Summit Carbon Solutions is making the rounds, hoping to salvage their plans to build a carbon capture pipeline through South Dakota.
They were denied a permit to build the pipeline last month, mainly because they asked for pipeline ordinances passed in some counties be set aside.
Summit Chief Operating Officer Jimmy Powell believes the company can work with Minnehaha and Moody county restrictions.
But, he says, it might be tougher in the Aberdeen area……
Powell says the company is trying to connect with ethanol plants in those areas, and the plants are built close to population centers.
