Southeast North Dakota co-op still making repairs from ice storm

FARGO, N.D.–Cass County Electric Cooperative, hit hard by Christmas Day ice storms throughout a 10-county area of southeastern North Dakota continues to make progress in making repairs to the system.
The cooperative restored close to 200 members on Tuesday. The latest report indicates that 470 members remain without power. More than 460 poles have been replaced. There are still about 640 broken poles. The bulk of the outages and broken poles are in the Valley City, North Dakota service area.
Cass County Electric expects all members will be restored by the end of the weekend, except some irrigation, vacant, or other low-use accounts.
