South Dakota legislators begin another week of work in Pierre

PIERRE, S.D.–Today (Monday) is the 22nd day of the 38-day South Dakota legislative session.

This morning, the House Education committee debates a bill that would revise the requirements on targeted teacher salaries.

The House State Affairs Committee meets to consider a bill that would require the state to produce an informational video and other materials on the state’s abortion law.

The House Commerce and Energy Committee has five bills on its agenda regarding carbon pipelines, eminent domain, and the condemnation process.

The Senate meets to reconsider a bill that would include lithium as a mineral subject to the state’s severance tax.
