SIOUX FALLS,, S.D.–More reports of a fake jewelry scam in Sioux Falls.

Late last week a woman was walking in the parking lot of Hy-Vee on East 10th Street when a white SUV pulled up next to her.

The driver said he was short on cash and needed to get back home, and would give her a couple of pieces of jewelry in exchange for money.

The woman went to a nearby ATM and gave the man about $300, only to discover the jewelry she had been given was fake.

Sioux Falls police say this makes for three such cases in the last week involving a white SUV, with a man, woman and children in the vehicle.
