SDHP identifies victims of fatal crashes in Box Elder, near Kimball

BOX ELDER, S.D.–The South Dakota Highway Patrol has identified two men killed in separate accidents over the weekend.

A Kyle man has been identified as the person who died Saturday night in a vehicle-pedestrian crash in Box Elder.

Preliminary crash information indicates a car driven by a 27-year-old man was traveling eastbound ion US Hwy 1416 when 24-year-old Ivan Reddest Junior walked out of the median and onto the highway where he was struck.  Reddest was taken to Monument Heath Rapid City where he was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, a Hartland, Wisconsin man has been identified as the person who died Saturday evening in a single motorcycle crash two miles west of Kimball.

Sixty nine year-old Dewey Hemba was killed when the motorcycle he was driving rolled on Interstate 90 after one of the tires went flat. The cycle fishtailed and rolled.  Hemba was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital in Chamberlain.
