WATERTOWN, S.D.—Casino Speedway in Watertown opens for racing this weekend.

But when the checkered flag drops at 6 o’clock Sunday night, the stands will be empty.

Fans are not being allowed in, at least not yet, as the phasing in of sporting activities gets started.

Todd Good is the race promoter at Casino Speedway, and talked with KWAT News about some of the precautions the track is taking….

He says he’ll look for guidance from the city and state when deciding when to open the speedway to fans….

Good says a return to racing is just another small step in getting back to normal….

Good expects around 100 cars Sunday night competing in five classes—Street Stocks, A-Mods, B-Mods, Super Stocks and Late Models.
