BROOKINGS, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — South Dakota State knocked off No. 4 seed Sacramento State 24-19 last week in the FCS playoffs.

The Jackrabbits jumped out to a 24-0 lead and the Hornets didn’t score until they kicked a field goal as time expired in the first half. Sacramento State then shut out South Dakota State in the second half and scored 19 unanswered points to cut the deficit to one possession, but it couldn’t pull off the come-from-behind win.  South Dakota State Coach John Stiegelmeier says last week was a chance to learn:

State will travel to Villanova in the quarterfinal round this Saturday.  Coach Stig previews the Wildcats:

1 p.m. kick.  Game can be heard in the Watertown area on 910 AM The Ranch.
