Person of interest held in connection with suspicious death in Lincoln County

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Sheriff’s officials say they are holding a person of interest in the suspicious death of a 20-year-old Lincoln County woman.
According to authorities, Randi Gerlach was found dead in a residence south of Sioux Falls along Highway 11 Tuesday afternoon.
Multiple agencies, including the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, are working on the case.
A 22-year-old man was taken into custody in the Mitchell area following a traffic stop.
He was taken to the Minnehaha County Jail and booked on an initial charge of violating a no contact order in Lincoln County.
