One person dead in crash of crop dusting plane west of Parkston

PARKSTON, S.D. (AP) – Authorities say one person is dead after a crop dusting plane crashed in a rural area of southeastern South Dakota.

Douglas County Sheriff Jon Coler says he was notified of the crash around 11:30 a.m. Monday.

The crash happened just west of Parkston.

The sheriff says federal investigators were on their way.

No other details were released.
