PIERRE, S.D.–Security at the South Dakota State Capitol is being beefed up.  

A security screening room is being built near the north entrance of the Capitol.  Appearing in a public service announcement detailing the move,

 

Department of Public Safety Secretary Craig Price says the screening room will be built into already existing office space…

 


 

Price says accessibility to the Capitol building has not changed…

 

 

Price says the new screening room is expected to be in place and operational by the time the 2020 Legislative session begins in January.
