NEW: Hy-Vee transitioning Market Grille locations to Wahlburgers; Watertown not impacted

DES MOINES, Ia.—There’s word that Hy-Vee Market Grille locations will be transitioning to Wahlburgers restaurants by early summer, but Watertown will NOT be impacted by this change.

Hy-Vee spokeswoman Christina Gayman says Watertown, which has a Market Grille Express, will not see any changes, nor will any other Market Grille Express locations in South Dakota.

Gayman issued the following statement to KWAT News on Wednesday morning:

 

Watertown has a Market Grille Express which is not impacted by the announcement. That location will remain a Market Grille Express, as will all other Market Grille Express locations in South Dakota.

Here is information about the locations that are transitioning:

Our customers are wanting more fresh and convenient meal options. Our 21 Hy-Vee Market Grille full-service restaurants will transition to a casual, counter-service Wahlburgers restaurant by early summer. During this transition, the dining area will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week, and will serve a modified Market Grille menu including breakfast, appetizers, burgers, sandwiches and other daily specials that can be ordered at a kiosk. The full-service bar will remain. Information about Wahlburgers grand opening dates and additional details will be shared at a later date.
