ABERDEEN, S.D.—Forecasters are keeping a watchful eye on a winter storm system that could impact eastern South Dakota Friday into Saturday.

Ryan Vipond at the National Weather Service in Aberdeen says the storm system will almost certainly impact Minnesota, but areas along the Interstate 29 corridor of South Dakota could get snow too….

By “impactful snow,” Vipond is talking about the potential of several inches…

Watertown’s seasonal snowfall total is 21 inches, with a current snowpack of 14 inches.
