Mother Nature delivers pre-Independence Day fireworks  (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Mother Nature provided some early Fourth of July fireworks last night in terms of severe weather.

Tornadoes were reported northwest of Tabor and west of Yankton late Monday afternoon.

Ping pong ball-sized hail was reported in the Wakonda area.

There were also reports of hail in the Garretson, Utica, Alcester and Woonsocket areas, and northeast of Bancroft in Kingsbury County.

KWAT News checked in with Troy Kleffman at the National Weather Service Office in Aberdeen to see if there were any severe weather reports in northeast South Dakota…

Conditions should gradually dry out from west to east today…
