WATERTOWN, S.D.–A late February snowstorm is creating major travel issues across the region, and that will continue through today.

Interstate 29 is closed from Watertown to Fargo due to very poor visibility, and things are not expected to get much better today.

Scott Doering is with the National Weather Service…

Travel conditions today will NOT be good…..

After the snow moves out, very cold air will settle in…

Today’s snow comes on top of very heavy snow that fell Monday, particularly between South Dakota Highway 10 and the North Dakota line…

For today, a Blizzard Warning is in effect for Edmunds, McPherson, Brown, Day, Roberts, Grant, Marshall, Big Stone and Traverse counties.

A Winter Weather Advisory is posted for the immediate Watertown area.
