WATERTOWN, S.D.–There was heavy damage to two vehicles, but only minor injuries in a two vehicle crash in Watertown.
Police say it happened Monday at the intersection of 4th Street Southeast and 6th Avenue. That’s where a Pontiac Grand Am driven by Alexis Rowland of Watertown collided with a car driven by Hector Meza of Watertown.
Rowland was northbound on 4th Street when she failed to yield to the westbound Meza. Rowland’s car ended up crashing into a light pole at the northwest corner of the intersection.
Both drivers were evaluated at the scene for minor injuries.
Rowland was cited for Driving Without a Valid Driver’s License, No Insurance, and Failure To Yield.
The Grand Am is a total loss. Meza’s car had $3,000 damage and the light pole had $1,200 damage.
