Minnesota’s Felix wins Bassmaster’s Elite tournament in Mobridge (Audio)

MOBRIDGE, S.D.–The Bassmaster’s Elite was held on Lake Oahe from August 18th – 21st. The four day event brought in 94 of the world’s best bass anglers to Mobridge and it did not disappoint.

With a five-bass limit that weighed 16 pounds, 3 ounces on Championship Sunday, Eden Prairie, Minnesota native Austin Felix was the overall winner with a total of 71 pounds -9 ounces, earning him a check for $100,000.

Coming in 2nd with 68.6 pounds was Canadian angler Chris Johnston and 3rd place was won by Taku Ito from Japan.

Felix told KWAT’s Katie Hansen Austin that it was a dream come true for him. and he recapped the four day event….
