WASHINGTON, D.C.–A member of Minnesota’s congressional delegation was among 34 people arrested in Washington D.C. Tuesday.

Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar was at the U.S. Capitol protesting the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade.

Capitol police said on social media that protesters were starting to block traffic on a nearby street, which is against the law. They were given three warnings before arrests were made.

Omar said in a statement that she, “will continue to do everything in my power to raise the alarm about the assault on our reproductive rights!”
