Midwest gas prices jump as predicted

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Gas prices in South Dakota took a pretty big jump over the weekend.

Triple A reports the statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded rose to $3.91 a gallon. That’s 21-cents a gallon more than just a week ago.

In Sioux Falls, there were stations that raised their price to more than four dollars a gallon by Saturday morning.

Several stations in Watertown raised their price 20 cents a gallon, to $3.89.

The national average as of this morning is $3.83 a gallon.
