WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown police arrested a man Tuesday night following a report of a fight and stabbing in the downtown area.
Patrol Division Captain Ryan Beauchamp says officers got the call just after 11 p.m…..
Beauchamp says officers talked with eyewitnesses, which led police to track down and arrest the suspect a couple of blocks away.
He’s identified as 40 year-old Matthew Lee Wagemann (pictured)..….
Wagemann was being held in the Codington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
The two victims sustained minor knife wounds, superficial in nature, and were not transported to the hospital.
Beauchamp says an orange and black folding pocket knife, believed to be the weapon, was found at the scene.
